History

Olsen Construction Services is a Hartford-area based construction management firm established in 1999 by Robert Olsen. The company was founded on the principle that high quality general contractor services can and should be provided at reasonable prices and in a timely, professional manner.


Our team has over 100 years of combined expertise in construction and facility management in the Greater Hartford area. Our diverse backgrounds and strengths contribute to our team's ability to go above and beyond to lead and deliver projects. Our experience encompasses tenant improvements, data centers, laboratories, call centers and other specialty disciplines. With over $700 million in completed projects since its establishment, Olsen Construction Services has a proven track record that speaks for itself.

Robert Olsen - President
Mr. Olsen is a highly motivated, solution-oriented Construction Manager with a strong thirty-year track record in resource and personnel management. He has performed full construction management and general contracting services for various large capital improvement projects throughout the Northeast. His management successes include general construction and mission critical applications. He has consistently achieved ambitious goals through a proven ability to select, train and motivate management teams

John Carpenter - Senior Project Manager
Mr. Carpenter has over thirty years of progressively responsible construction management experience from design to build. These projects have included most facets of construction from estimating project budgets, to reviewing of CD’s, bidding and issuing contracts, final inspections, and trouble shooting for operation maintenance. He is experienced in supervising all aspects of construction; including carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, masonry and roofing trades.

Richard Kemp - Senior Project Manager
Mr. Kemp is a proven Project Manager with over twenty-five years of experience in the construction industry specializing in electrical and mechanical systems. As a licensed master electrician he successfully managed his own electrical company for sixteen years. His extensive knowledge has made him an invaluable manager for mission critical projects. With Mr. Kemp’s diverse background, his expertise starts with design development and value engineering and spans through construction implementation, commissioning and project close-out.

Robert Cirinna - Project Manager
Mr. Cirinna has over twenty-six years of project management experience in masonry and general contracting. He has worked in all facets of construction, making him an expert in new construction as well as rehabilitation work. In addition, he has strong management, construction sales and customer service skills. Mr. Cirinna’s diverse background makes him effective at communicating and working with management and trade personnel at every level.

David Cotton - Project Manager
Mr. Cotton is a skilled project manager with a broad range of business and management experience. His successes are a direct result of his abilities as a decisive problem solver, effective communicator, and team builder. He has completed numerous mission-critical projects for various financial services companies.

John Vigneri - Account Executive

Mr. Vigneri has over thirty years diverse, progressive experience in business as a leading executive and has developed industry recognized, powerful and proven methods of customer first business strategies in order to efficiently and effectively maximize customer satisfaction. John’s expertise in customer communication, customer satisfaction, team building and leadership coupled with his passion for the construction industry allows our clients to successfully achieve their vision across many disciplines. In this position, John is responsible for overseeing the company’s business objectives in the area of strategic planning, operations, and business development, focused on the alignment of our customers, our core services, markets, and geographies. John maintains an unwavering commitment to support our clients’ needs, and he has the vision and expertise to deliver innovative solutions to them.

Leonard Saponare - Project Superintendent
Mr. Saponare has twenty eight years of experience in the construction industry, seventeen of which were spent in electrical field. Mr. Saponare represents Olsen Construction Services as a Safety Officer, as well as Project Superintendent on a part-time basis. Trained in Safety and Accident Prevention as well as CPR certification, Mr. Saponare has successfully completed thirty hours of OSHA certification.
